(Rope) Bottoming beginners

We firmly believe that bottoming is more then passively throwing yourself in a situation and simply sustaining it. Instead, we see bottoming for rope as combining many different skills and tools: from breathing techniques to mental stamina, body awareness, communication and more. These teachable skills can make all the difference in your bottoming experience and so we decided to create a space dedicated to learning and practicing these

This is a switching and self tying based class, meaning we welcome solo as well as couples. In each class expect a discussion of the weekly topic followed by demo and teaching of related skills and tools, after which there will be time to practice and see how these tools can be used in play. Feel free to repeat the topics that interest you as often as you like, as the content will change based on participants experience and individual challenges.

PreDICKaments

Join Petite Pretzel and Takotsubo for an evening class on predicament bondage tailored specifically for the AMAB rope bottom. Our seasoned sadist Pretzel teaches the art of prolonging and intensifying your bottom's suffering with meticulous precision. This is an open-ended exploration where students are encouraged to adapt the concepts to suit their unique dynamics and preferences. There's no one-size-fits-all approach; it's about embracing the process of learning and relishing the overall experience.

In this class, we delve into predicament bondage: crafting dilemmas that force the rope bottom to choose between different forms of pain, exhaustion, or humiliation. This is not a collaborative tie; it's a constantly evolving game of cat-and-mouse. The rope bottom seeks escape or respite, and the top skillfully removes those options, creating a captivating dance of control and surrender.

As your “evil genius” guide, Pretzel thrives on creating challenges that evolve into prolonged and increasingly difficult struggle. It's not about making it so challenging that one gives up immediately or so easy that boredom sets in; it's about creating a dialogue through rope. The ropes become a medium for communication, a conversation where suggestions and responses inspire each other.

Who can attend this class? Are there prerequisites?

  • Riggers should know how to proficiently tie the TK and proficient at tying mainlines/suspension lines.

  • Riggers must know how to check for nerve impingement. You must inform your model of the risks of rope suspension.

  • Riggers and models must have tied together prior to this class

  • Rope bottoms should be able to be tied in an upper body harness and be very familiar with the differences between nerve and circulation impingement.

  • Models must be able to recognise and communicate signs of nerve impingement to riggers effectively and timely. Models should be able to process pain and take enjoyment in intense sensations.

This class will cover:

  • Anatomical discussion, for predicament efficiency and and improved safety

  • Psychological discussion of the perspectives of both top and bottom

  • Intimate ties for genitals, specifically penis and testicles

What should I bring and what do I wear?

We have ropes you can use during the class and we have a communal kitchenette, fridge and microwave. Tea and coffee are free but you should bring your food and snacks (we have plates and cutlery you can use). People usually wear comfortable clothing like yoga or dance attire. We advise against loose fitting clothing and also jeans can sometimes feel a bit restrictive to move around in and difficult to tie on.

The full day workshop will be 03 May at 11h

Teasing You To Death

There are other ways to torment your partner in ropes than via pain and physical challenge. In this playful and sensual workshop, Roxu and Ena will introduce you to the art of teasing your rope partner, if not to death, then at least to the brink of madness. Learn to build and hold erotic tension, create anticipation, get into your partner’s head and play with tease and denial through exercises in touch, movement, rope and body handling.

The Game of Seduction and Anticipation

Throughout these hours together, we step away from technical and structured Shibari and dive into the art of playing with the mind, desire, and tension. We challenge the need for instant gratification and explore what happens in the space where pleasure is denied, delayed, and transformed into insatiable hunger.

Anticipation is at the core of this experience; the moment before something happens, the precise pause where desire intensifies. We will create that state of expectation and longing within our rope play.

More than a set of exercises, this workshop is an invitation to explore connection and provocation through rope. This is not just about doing Shibari; it’s about inhabiting it. Being present in every touch, every look, and in every silence that lingers just a second longer than expected.

We will build this energy using elements such as:

Time and rhythm
Slow movements that drive frustration, changes in pace that confuse.

Touch and absence of touch
Approaching without making contact, playing with distance, provoking with fingertips before pulling away again.

Control over the partner’s body
Moving, handling and restricting through rope and physical presence, guiding the experience through contact.

Eye contact and voice
Paying attention, listening to our partner, watching, narrating, emphasising vulnerability or desire without physical contact.

A Space for Exploration and Play

Together we create a space where we can explore our shadows, our perversions, and our relationship with shame and desire. In the outside world, many of these power and provocation dynamics might be misunderstood or even judged. But here, in this space, we step into a heterotopia, a world in which the rules change and where we can discover new sides of ourselves and our relationships.

Practical

Level

Though this is a beginner friendly workshop, it’s recommended to be familiar with the single and double column ties, and basic frictions. No suspension experience needed.

Who is it for

This workshop is perfect for couples, duos and (play) partners who desire to deepen their erotic rope practice, to play, explore, feel, and surrender to desire and yearning through rope. Beyond that, we aim to create and hold an inclusive, safer space where all sexes, genders, orientations, ages, and bodies are welcome.

Equipment

At least 4 jute or hemp ropes, 7-8 meters in length.

Dress code

Dress to undress. Partial nudity and exposure is welcome, but not expected or required.

EMBODIMENT

Claiming Space: How Saying No Builds Better Relationships

Relationships thrive when we show up as whole, autonomous beings. But do you truly know your needs, and can you communicate them? Can you take accountability for your actions, or are you more comfortable giving your power away?

This workshop is all about agency, self-knowledge, and practicing consent. Through embodied exercises and rejection games, you'll explore how it feels to take up space and feel empowered in your NO. We’ll play with boundary-setting, experiment with different ways to reject (and be rejected), and reflect on the stories we tell ourselves about saying no. You’ll practice making choices that feel good, standing firm in your autonomy, and co-creating dynamics that balance independence and connection.

Expect movement, deep reflection, and lots of laughter. There’s no right or wrong here. Come solo or with a partner, and bring your curiosity!

While we encourage exploring beyond your usual preferences, it's entirely your choice, and you never have to connect with or touch anyone.
